As the next step for those who have completed the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), this qualification provides learners with a wider scope of practice in Prehospital care emergencies, allowing for greater employment opportunities.

 

Intended Audience

The Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised Prehospital care qualification specifically designed for those looking to progress their career within the NHS or independent ambulance services as an emergency care assistant, intermediate ambulance practitioner, event medical provider, associate practitioner or healthcare assistant.

It is also ideal for those who are looking to work within specialist roles in the military, police and fire services.

 

Overview

Fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level E, this qualification provides learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to be able to deal with a wide range of Prehospital care emergencies, such as: major incidents, fracture immobilisation, sick and injured children, mental health issues and more. Entry Requirements:

Learners must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the training.

Learners must hold a valid (in date) Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) or a valid (in date) Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) qualification or a QA recognised equivalent and provide continuing professional development (CPD) profile containing evidence of 118hrs study and/or contextualised practice (details shown in Appendix 5) before they can begin the Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) qualification.

There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or equivalent.

Certification

Successful learners will receive a personalised Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted, subject to any required actions. Printed certificates are available at an additional cost.
