On June the 12th, a number of brave charity fundraisers climbed up the 249 steps of a Surrey cathedral to reach the 160ft high rooftop, they decided it would be much more fun to dangle off the side of it than to take the steps back down.
The group did a fantastic job and managed to raise thousands of pounds for the “disability challenger” and had a lot of fun doing it too.
Regional Safety Group were asked to provide event medical cover for the abseil, providing a visible presence and peace of mind to all those involved. A rope rescue and medical team were stationed at the site and ready to deal with any medical issues that were presented.
